While browsing through our news feed a few days ago, a video posted by Mark Zuckerberg, founder & CEO of Facebook, caught my attention. The video was posted to celebrate the 2 million small businesses advertising on the social network, definitely an important milestone. Thus, it was a nice opportunity for them to highlight important qualities such as creativity, hard work and dedication that are what make small businesses something truly special. As you might know, Facebook aims at connecting people all over the world, creating a unique community to foster openness and individuality.
On our side, we try to do something similar: on Sugartrends.com worldwide owners of independent local stores present their shops and products. We offer local retailers a profitable, sustainable and above all, fair chance to step in the global online market and profit from an increased visibility. We create a community of local shops, a network of incredibly talented small businesses and we connect them with the world. We have just started, but with your help we are sure we can valuably help small businesses all over the world create new, happy places where you can shop special little things. Anytime, anywhere.
I recommend you to take one minute to watch the video. Think Big, Shop Small!
