The best products! The most awesome service! Buy now, don’t miss it! 80% off, only now! Exclamation mark!!!

We all know these kinds of claims; we’re surrounded by them every day. Companies are trying to acquire us constantly. We see them on TV, on huge billboards on the street, in instream ads on Facebook and Twitter. Everyone is talking about how good they are, promoting their advantages. But aren’t we overwhelmed with marketing – with such kind of marketing?

One of Amazon’s biggest successes is their customer reviews. People are eager to know the experiences of others, they want to inform themselves about the highlights AND flaws of products. There are people earning tons of money with Youtube channels creating nothing else than reviews. All this guy does is telling us about the good and more importantly the bad features of consumer electronics.

Doesn’t this show that we are fed up with the self-praising of companies? How should we be able to actually compare products if they only tell us about their strengths?

Nothing is perfect, we know that. You either get that fast car with little space and big fuel consumption or it’s a useful, but yes, not as fancy car. Cookies aren’t good for our health, but for god’s sake they’re yummy.

Fair trade products are booming and very demanded. Supermarkets in Munich have problems to refill the shelves with organic eggs as they are sold out so quickly. People actually are willing to pay more for better quality and doing something good in the world.

Sugartrend’s good goal is to support the small businesses, the backbone of our society AND economy. It’s the store owners who present you a good pre-selection of your taste, who give you their honest opinion on products or services. So why don’t we just be honest with you as well: the downside is that we cannot regularly give you sales and yes, every shop is calculating shipping costs; just because we don’t have a huge distribution center in the middle of Europe.

We believe in telling the truth to our customers because we think the disappointment would be way higher if we were only telling about our upsides and they would find out by themselves.

You are reading this post although the title intentionally uses a different strategy than what you are used to. Did you click on this link just because it is different? Or is there some kind of desire not to be lied upon? Have you been caught by our honest marketing? What are the keywords to get your attention?

Please tell us! We would like to know what our customers value in us – although they know our downsides.
