The winter has gone and here comes Summer! The season we are all longing to. Do you have plans for this year summer season? It’s never too early to start planning for warm summer days activities. There are a lot of activities that we have compiled to fill your summer plan to make this summer unforgettable and full of fun for you and your loved ones!

Have a close encounter at the zoo

Have an unforgettable summer experience at the Zoo. Check out the zoo in your town. It usually offers some summer packed full of fun like get up close to the giant elephant, feed treats tortoises, swimming with dolphin, adventures with hippos, get to know all different types of birds or join a safari day camp. Don’t forget to book the ticket before D-day to get a great deal. Here in Cologne, we have ourselves a Kölner Zoo that is located in Riehler Straße 173 and open from 9 am to 6 pm. Going to a zoo with friends and family will be a really fun and full of adventure to do this season.

Ride a roller coaster

Spur your adrenaline on a roller coaster ride. There are a lot of theme parks here in Europe that are famous for its roller coasters. This might be a good idea if you like theme park and are not afraid of height of course. Bring your friends and families and challenge yourself to ride the top and most famous roller coaster across Europe including the famous ring racer in Nürburgring Park, Nürburg or the Silver Star from Europa Park in Rust, or the Pleasure Beach Blackpool in Lancashire, England. Or if you are too scared of this, you can just enjoy other facilities. Who does not love theme park anyway, right?

Hit up a music Festival or outdoor concert

Singing and dancing with your close friends and relatives this summer will definitely be a good idea. Bring your friends and family to a great music festival and we bet it will be a good memory to remember. You should go check out World Cup Dome in Frankfurt from 3-5 June 2016. If you are a fan of this genre of music, then this one is a must. There will be David Guetta, Robin Schulz, and many other DJs from around the world! Or you can also come to Melt Festivals in Ferropolis from 15-17 July 2016. Open the website and book the ticket before the tickets sold out.

Read new books

If you do not have time to read books yet, well then this summer challenge yourself to read at least five books of fiction or non fiction. If you are wondering what to read, here are 10 bestsellers book in 2016 according to New York Times. Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. The story is about a girl who has never been away from her English Village finds herself while caring for a wealthy embittered quadriplegic. Read this book before the movie release this year. Or you might also enjoy reading ‘The Murder House’ by James Patterson and David Ellis. The story begins where there are bodies found at a Hamptons estate where a series of murdered once occurred. A local detective and former New York City Cop investigates. Or if you are not into fiction, you can search for many others books available. Whatever you read, it will surely give you something valuable.

Explore the city by bike

Exploring the city where you live by riding a bike and go somewhere you’ve never been before will be a great idea to spend summer with your friends and family. If you don’t know where to go, you can go check a guided cycle tour. They usually provide programs such as student bike tours, or exclusive private tour for families, couples, and singles with bicycles. Well if you don’t have a bike, do not worry, if you are now in Cologne, you can rent a bike for 15 euro/day (12 h).
