A Cologne Night Out – experienced differently

    Cologne night out

    “I’ve got 170 horsepower , and you?” – “Hah, I won, I’ve got 230!”

Whether we understand it or not, we all played those games when we were younger. Depending on the country you live or come from, they are called Quartett, Supertrumpf, Megatrumpf or Happy Families. In the end it is all about comparing cars or ships, planes or animals, old tractors or bikes.

Why not combine that kind of fun with a fun night out? – was the idea of the “Köln Quartett”. They implemented the idea with bars in their city. The idea stays the same; you can simply visit the places you are comparing now. For instance, the questions are something like: “How many types of ice cream do they have?”, “How far away from the Dom is the bar” or “How much does a normal beer cost?

Therefore, you learn some interesting fun facts about the places you visit all the time. The category “cheapest beer” of course is particularly interesting. And you also get to know places you would have never heard about otherwise. Even our team members from Cologne did not know all the places.

The cool thing is, next to simply playing it like always, the deck also works as normal playing cards for games like Rommé, Canasta, Skat and tons of others. With all that, the “Quartett” makes a perfect present for people living or moving to Cologne. And it is easily playable with a couple of internationals – SugarTrends’ team has proven that!

The “Köln Quartett” concept, which can be bought on www.koeln-quartett.de, is also available in many other cities in Germany like Munich, Berlin or Hamburg. The team of the Karlsruhe “Kneipenquartett”, which, by the way, was supported by our CEOs Tim and Christian, already brought out its third edition this year.

Who knows, maybe there will be a SugarTrends Happy Families soon? You could be comparing our stores from Cologne, Barcelona, Reykjavik and Lisbon. “Which shop has the most products online on SugarTrends?” – “Which is part of it the longest?” – “Which one sold the most products online?” And maybe the cards could even be vouchers for the respective stores or get you a free drink in the city? We’ll be working on that!
