Moooorning!! We are proud to say that the last two weeks have been a very productive and fun indeed – We’ve been on the Bild Newspaper and RTL Nachtjournal followed by a well deserved “100 stores on SugarTrends” celebration with our partner shops from Cologne. Having said that, we would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who joined us on Tuesday, 7th of October, and especially to Hennes’ Finest for hosting the event and to Zimt & Rosen for providing the excellent food.
As mentioned at the beginning, we have been on the Bild Newspaper and RTL’s Nachtjournal. Both articles were underling the fact that small shops are currently finding it difficult to compete with the big brands and all the multinational companies. So this is where SugarTrends comes in, offering a marketplace specially designed for local stores and boutiques where they can connect and sell their products to customers around the world. All the stores we are working with and their products can be found on SugarTrends.
We have put a lot of effort in choosing our stores and their products in order to make sure we are offering a unique shopping experience to our customers. Moreover, we are also caring about our stores and we want to have more than a simple relationship – more precisely, we want to be one big family. And this is the reason why we have decided to invite the stores to the event in order to get to know each other better and strengthen our relationship.
As mentioned above, the event was organised at Hennes Finest. They are a truly amazing shop offering the most exclusive pepper in the world. All their products are based on Kampot Pepper from Cambodia and the way they present and pack the pepper is amazing. If you are in Cologne, make sure you visit the store and probably get to see them cooking in their shop – all the recipes being based on pepper, of course 🙂
And because we have presented Hennes Finest, we definitely have to mention Zimt & Rosen, another great shop based in Cologne, Germany which provided the food. Johanna, the shop owner is a very talented cook and they sell French oriental flair. If you are in Cologne or planning to visit it anytime soon, this one of the stores you can see. Just drop by and experience new scents of spices or Moroccan dishes. This time Johanna prepared us the food and since all the plates were empty pretty quick we assume that everything was delicious!
Again, we would like to say a big thank you to Jan Böyne from Der feine Herr and his girlfriend Eva Schürmann; Elisabeth Rosenkranz and Andreas Burgmann from No Gallery; the owners of Stadt.Land.Stil, Kathrin Mikuska and Anette Rupp, and Kathrin’s husband Milos Mikuska for coming to the event . In addition, we would like to thank Anja Klinkenberg and Rainer Stabiszewski who are the owners of Les Boites, 4te Etage and Die Dritte Haut and also to Känguru Magazin for joining us.
We all had a good time and we look forward to our next reunion and maybe meeting new faces. Until then, we want to wish everyone a safe and happy shopping weekend.
-Fanni Kiss, Store Relations Manager at SugarTrends
